Dr. Phillip Perez is a board-certified psychiatrist in Washington, DC with expertise in Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.  Prior to establishing a private  practice, Dr. Perez was Associate Medical Director of Georgetown University Hospital's Inpatient Psychiatry Program and Associate Director of Georgetown University's Psychiatry Residency Training Program.  He also maintained a busy, university-based outpatient practice.  Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Georgetown University and actively participates in resident and medical student education at Georgetown.

Dr. Perez completed residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as Executive Chief Resident.  Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine under the auspices of Georgetown University Hospital and the National Institutes of Health.  Dr. Perez earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Amherst College.   

Dr. Perez is a native speaker of English, Spanish, and Portuguese.  He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine, and the Washington Psychiatric Society.
